A Toronto couple looking for a pied a tier in Vancouver to spend more time with their kids and grandchildren. The town home was perfect in size and location but had problems in the planning and was not suited to their taste. The extensive renovation took 7 months to complete including custom furniture and accessories. The inspiration for the concept came when the arrival of a 7’ long modern painting by Jack Bush arrived at the office. The main floor was opened up to maximize the visual impact from all areas of the main floor. Finishes are almost gallery like with grey stained oak floors and warm white walls & matte lacquer panelling which houses AV equipment. The Snadario kitchen that came with the purchase remained with changes to the countertops and backsplash. The island was shifted closer to the wall to create a seating area within the kitchen for a casual dining option. Midcentury classics were chosen for the space as they too were designed in the 50's when Bush was developing his abstract modernist works of art.

We employed Denise Ashmore to totally renovate and decorate a condo for us in Coal Harbour. The condo was very much in basic condition when we took possession and she helped create a very interesting and comfortable space for us, I am sure she has shown you the photos. More importantly Denise was wonderful to work with. She was extremely professional in the way she managed the job, no detail escaped her attention, and she was always very vigilant in making sure her plan was executed to her exacting specifications.
